The Malcolm Runnall's designed 39ft Jaffa was designed and built for offshore racing and has enjoyed a distinguished history since first launched in W A in 2008. She was the last boat built by famed W A boatbuilder Peter Milner and her construction has benefited from his vast experience. Light and strong with moderate sail area and exceptional stability, she is easily sailed and has performed well inshore and offshore. Blue water races include 3 x Sydney Hobarts, most Victorian coastal and Bass Strait races, 2018 Melbourne Hobart, 2019 Sydney to Southport and she recently finished undamaged and a highly creditable 11th over the line in the recent Cabbage Tree Island Race against a stellar fleet in well documented boat breaking conditions. She has always been properly maintained in ready to race condition while also offering a good level of cruising comforts for an offshore boat.
Extensively equipped for serious offshore campaigning, she has a complete wardrobe of race and delivery sails, a comprehensive array of performance electronics, and communications equipment and most required safety gear is included (excludes personal items). She has just successfully completed the 75th Sydney to Hobart and with her water ballast capability, is ideally placed to compete in the 2020 event in what will be the inaugural two-handed Sydney to Hobart.
