Carter 33

NOW SOLD - Carter 33s have been successful performers at Club level and were frequent championship winners back in the day. Equally at home on Port Phillip or out in Bass Strait, they are a well proven design with excellent all-round sailing performance and good stability. With roomy accommodation for up to seven, this 1978 Carter 33 is one we have known since she was new and would be an ideal cruiser- racer to enjoy with family and friends.

Well equipped with wheel steering, Autopilot and GPS and Plotter at the helm, she also has Tack Tick wireless performance electronics with a network interface so you can run apps such as Navionics etc on your iPhone or iPad. There's also a VHF radio to keep in touch. She has a good wardrobe of sails including a furling headsail, fully battened mainsail stowed in a boom bag with Lazy Jacks so she's easy to sail. Other sails include 2 spinnakers and storm sails. Her engine is an economical and regularly serviced 20HP Volvo Penta diesel with Saildrive and a folding propeller.

Continuing upgrades include new primary and secondary self-tailing two-speed cockpit winches in 2015, new cabin and navigation lights in 2016, all-new stainless steel standing rigging as well as all new spectra halyards in 2017, removal and full service of the Saildrive leg in 2019 and a full deck re-paint in early 2021. This Carter 33 comes ready to sail away with safety equipment, galley equipment, charts and equipment manuals so she represents excellent value.

The RMYS Marina Berth lease (14 years) is also available to the purchaser by separate negotiation and offers substantial savings on future berth charges. **Club Membership conditions apply**
