The ultimate bay or harbour racer, fast and fun, easy to sail and competitive. The all Australian designed and built Radford Sprint 35 was conceived to provide exhilirating sailing in all conditions. Launched in 2004, Silk can compete with much bigger boats and often beats them around the course. Light weight but strong GRP with foam cored construction, flush deck, minimal space below decks but her roomy, ergonomically designed cockpit with a central control console for easy adjustments to sail trim means she is all about racing. Good stability from her deep fin keel with a torpedo bulb means she can race competitively with a full crew or just as easily with only two so she is an ideal choice for the rapidly growing short-handed sailing scene.
This Radford Sprint 35 sports a fractionally rigged mast with fractional and masthead asymmetric spinnakers flown from a retractable bowsprit and has a comprehensive wardrobe of sails, many quite recent. Much of her standing rigging was replaced in 2018 and her halyards have been replaced in 2019. Her deck layout is the ultimate in simplicity so she is an easy boat to sail fast. Safety gear is at Club Race level and she has a new 2019 set of lifelines. Electronics include Tack Tick wireless instruments together with a Speed Puck GPS based electronic Speedo. Auxiliary power is provided by a newly reconditioned, economical light weight 10HP inboard diesel with saildrive and a Gori folding propeller to get you to and from the marina
The new sailing season is not far away so this is an ideal time to secure a proven race winner. AMS rated. NOTE: Some photos show older sails.
