Tom Whitfield 36’ (LOA) Gaff rigged cruising cutter built at Scotch College, Melbourne, under senior shipwright supervision. The build process was fully recorded with photos from harvesting the Huon Pine right through to her launching in 1998. She is a modern interpretation of the Bristol Channel Pilot cutters, a robust cruising yacht designed for offshore and coastal passage making.

Planked in Huon Pine with copper nails roved on hardwood frames and featuring a traditional gaff rig and 8′ bowsprit, she employs some modern sailing aids such as a furling headsail and two-speed winches making her easy to sail. Her 6ft draft long keel means she tracks true and her 75hp Yanmar diesel engine (only 500 hours run) provides ample power. The electric anchor windlass makes anchoring a breeze.

Below decks you will find a roomy and traditional eight berth layout with 6ft 4″ headroom throughout. There is a well appointed galley with sink,  gas stove & oven plus a fridge. The fully enclosed marine toilet incorporates a hot and cold  shower and there is a second shower in the cockpit.  Traditional features include a Huon Pine butterfly skylight and ventilation hatch over the main saloon and a unique  solid Huon Pine table. Electronics include a log and speedo, depth sounder and a VHF radio.

Now much reduced and MUST BE SOLD, all offers considered.
