While the most exciting announcement at the recent 2016 Jeanneau international Dealer Conference was the new Jeanneau 51, also announced was the re-badging of the Jeanneau 57 to Jeanneau 58 to reflect the completely new interior design by Andrew Winch, and the R2 version of the Sun Fast 3200 with taller carbon rig, cockpit change and IRC keel. A significant change for the entire Sun Odyssey range announced is a new light timber option, which combined with three floor choices and multiple fabric options really offers a considerable amount of customisation.
The traditional fine teak timber is still available, but for those that like the modern light timbers there is now an oak timber now available across the range from the hugely popular Sun Odyssey 349 to the Sun Odyssey 519.
Another change is to have electronics grouped into packages to offer even better value, while the choice of options across the board is even wider than ever to allow owners to end up with the perfect combination to suit their own tastes and usage.
Flexibility is the key to the current Sun Odyssey range with a wide choice of keels and rigs, and the secret to their success is that each model has been superbly designed to perform faultlessly no matter what choices are made. That’s a real testament to the skill of the designers used by Jeanneau.
