May 2026 News

Over the last few months, the AUD has been appreciating considerably over the Euro and USD, which means the import cost of a new Jeanneau has been improving every month.

We are confident that this will continue for the next few months, which means we won’t be locking in any currency on our 2027 Merry Fisher 795 series 2 that we have on order, until the boat ships in July/August.

So not only will we secure the best FX currency for the first 2027 model to leave the factory, but it will also ship out before the expensive BMSB fumigation requirements start on the 1st September. Consequently we can offer an even better Melbourne Boat Show ‘special price’ now, so enquire now to see what we can do, as this is our only stock boat left for 2026!

Brokerage sales around Australia and the world are still very quiet, as some vendors have not adjusted their asking price to reflect the current demand based on used boat market values or the reduced cost on new boats currently.

However as our 2023 Jeanneau Merry Fisher 895 trade-in was well priced, optioned and presented, it sold immediately at the full asking price of $290,000. So it just goes to show that second hand boats are selling, but they need to have an asking price that is at least 5% under other similar boats.
