Nauticat 44’ is a pilothouse cruising ketch built to exacting standards by Siltala Yachts of Finland,  the world´s leading traditional motor-sailer and pilot-house sailing yachts specialist. This Nauticat 44 was first launched in 1997 in Detroit, USA

She had an extensive refit in 2010 which saw a huge list of equipment fitted to prepare her for offshore cruising to Australia. This included bow thruster, fridge, freezer and ice maker, generator, reverse cycle air conditioning, radar, GPS, HF and VHF radios, autopilot, inflatable tender with 5HP outboard,  new staysail and furler, Xantrek battery charger, Shore power system, Para sea anchor, Life raft with hydrostatic release and Harken electric primary winches. A new mainsail and Leisurefurl boom were fitted soon after arrival in Australia. A comprehensive kit of engine and other spares is carried.

Superbly appointed in satin finished teak, she has a huge interior with a forward double berth cabin, a twin berth cabin serviced by an enclosed forward toilet and shower. The huge aft cabin has an island double bed and an ensuite toilet plus a separate shower compartment. The galley features fridge and freezer plus a 2010 Force 10 three burner gas stove with oven. The roomy dinette opposite the galley seats up to 6 and there is plenty of storage. Quality soft furnishings enhance the ambience of the teak interior.

The raised pilothouse saloon offers panoramic all-round views and can have the cabin roof opened via a large overhead sliding hatch.  The internal helm station with full electronics displays affords all weather protection while a large dinette seats up to 8. Lifting floor panels provide excellent access to the spacious engine compartment with its 127 HP Yanmar diesel engine, air conditioning unit, Panda 240V generator, hot water unit and power management systems. The raised external aft helm station with plenty of seating provides for enjoyable helming in fine weather.

There is vast storage throughout this boat making her ideal for extended cruising. The Galley and lower dinette area plus the raised pilothouse saloon enjoy ducted reverse cycle air conditioning or heating. There is excellent lighting and ventilation in all areas of the yacht. Always marina maintained, this is an Australian Registered yacht fully equipped for safe and comfortable offshore voyaging. Recently slipped, polished antifouled and engine serviced so ready to go.
